*Responsibilities & Duties Job Description: Software Testing Engineers, analyze product requirements and define, design and implement automated test cases for ensuring product quality. Test cases are then executed, reporting results and found product defects. Responsibilities: In this position, you will be fully responsible for implementing and conducting software testing activities for different Applications, Platforms and Environments to meet company needs. You will be exposed to a variety of computer programming languages and applications, as well using a range of testing automation scripting languages, working in teams with other professionals, or alone. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Automating test cases for middleware applications. -Development of Stubs/Drivers and simulators. - Analyzing results, reporting test cases results and product defects, and eventually automate these tasks too. - Handling feedback and error reports from internal and external stakeholders. - Lead a small team of test automation engineers to achieve team’s goals. - Constantly updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading products documentation and accessing new applications. - Responsible for problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the project. Qualifications You should possess a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology degree (Licenciatura) or equivalent with more than five years of software development/QA experience. Additional qualifications include: - Knowledge of at least three of the following programming technologies: .net (C#), Java, Javascript, C/C++, Qt, and experience in at least two of them. - Experience developing or testing middleware (C/C++ or Java) software. - Software development expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems, MeeGo/Android a plus. - Knowledge on Design Patterns, IPC and Threads will be a plus - Strong results orientation. - Experience working under Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and/or ISO software quality regime would be an added advantage as well as experience working within agile environments.
