description as community manager will be responsible for building communities of passionate software application developers around the intel appup center, focussing on the spanish speaking software ecosystem. the successful candidate will be an experienced self starter who is able to function at a high level of performance with minimal supervision, is self directed and motivated, able to work independently and able to take direction in a fast paced environment. this position requires a high level of initiative and flexibility to contribute to multiple areas in a nimble organization. your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: launch and managing (on a day to day base) online spanish community site and cultivate the developer community. fostering community membership, and developing programs and incentives to increase community engagement monitoring and directly participating in the community (writing blog and forum posts, tweets, comments; posting podcasts and video clips), leading the content strategy and its execution, tending community growth, building relationships, and analyzing community behavior engaging with the community to champion our program, tools, and resources, and being a community advocate owning and driving topics areas for discussion developing strategies and supporting marketing campaigns that leverage social media to support business objectives promoting community content, marketing programs etc. with online sharing tools and social media based marketing programs. using site metrics to continuously monitor community and site experiences in order to adjust online programs for maximum return on investment soliciting content from and working with freelance writers, recruiting and cultivating intel and (external) community bloggers, creating or finding controversy, promoting key community participants qualifications bachelor degree in system engineering or related career with at least 5+ years experience in managing online communities. thorough understanding of web technologies and first hand knowledge of blogs and blogging, social networks, communities, wikis, pod casting and forums experience with online, grassroots and viral marketing campaigns results orientation with great attention to detail strong program and project management skills with the ability to prioritize, and a proven ability to meet aggressive deadlines innovative thinking, willing to explore and invent new ideas and creative solutions that will engage the target audience excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills an understanding of internationalization and localization issues, as the community will focus on apps written in (or adapted to) spanish, deal with spanish language app store fronts, or discuss apps offering location specific functionality. in depth understanding of app store ecosystem ability to influence various levels of management and to negotiate win win solutions customer orientation skills (internal and/or external) proficiency in written and spoken spanish and english is an absolute must have portuguese knowledge is an advantage.
