Telefonica (TEF) is one of the world’s top 5 Telco/ Service Provider. Its business portfolio includes telecommunications, media, and philanthropic interests among others.
The TEF Latin America Region Account Manager (TEF LAR AM) will be responsible for designing, developing, coordinating and executing an integrated Account Strategy for Telefonica in LAR, (while consulting with the Telefonica GAM based in Madrid), with the overall objective of Intel becoming their technological partner of choice, increasing influence levels, demand and preference for Intel products through world-class collaborative sales & marketing initiatives.
Given Intel's Service Provider strategy the role requires ability to comprehend and drive global strategy with the required local, Geo and HQ sensitivity to optimize impact and make it happen. The TEF LAR AM will develop and drive an integrated account plan across Intel BUs with focus on service providers (e.g. PCCG, UMG, DCG, SPG, etc), the Regional and HQ SP teams, as well as with Consumer, Business, Marketing, PR, Channel, MDM and RCO teams when applicable. The TEF LAR AM will closely collaborate with the different LAR districts and will work with BDMs in each district across LAR. The TEF LAR AM needs to be able to travel across LAR every quarter (2-3 weeks each quarter) and will report solid line to the Regional Telco Mgr.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Create and drive 3-year TEF LAR strategy and account plan
Driving of marketing and sales programs to grow Intel business in countries where TEF has presence (including Brasil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Nicaragua and El Salvador) for existing and new Intel products
Ability to envision and drive new creative ideas, especially within adjacent growth areas
Top level Executive engagement with regular QBRs sessions.
Qualifications
You should possess an M.B.A. degree or a business or engineering degrees with 10+ years of sales and account development/ management development experience. The ideal candidate has an in-depth knowledge of Telco players, their business models, operations and data services growth initiatives with a solid understanding of the latest technologies and industry trends.
The individual must have proven leadership skills, be able to operate at Executive level, communicate with all levels of management, both within Intel and at customer level, and work effectively within multiple interdependent organizations. Position requires a self-starter/ entrepreneurial spirit with customer and results orientation, impeccable stakeholder management and excellent interpersonal skills, program management and strategic thinking capabilities, a desire and ability sell-in and drive programs through people, multiple teams and multiple layers, inside Intel and at Customer level. The candidate must be fluent in Spanish and be conversant in Portuguese.
