Responsible for the HPC Laboratory (Cluster), ensuring full-availability of systems for business units as well as defining/participating long term hardware/software plans. The role includes Lab infrastructure maintenance, reliable budget planning, keeping track of internal inventory and budget spending. Drive day to day business needs by managing processes and/or workflow's. Provide promptly responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Actively engage in sustaining and improving incident and problem management and other related continuous improvements. The role includes but not limited to be part of the HPC Reference Design project, generating reference recipes to build HPC systems. Strong quality skills, operational discipline and results orientation is a must. Understanding of software development for large scale groups and understanding of Intel's product development methodology is a nice to have. You should possess a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronic Engineering or Information Technology degree or equivalent with more than three (3) years of experience in similar positions. +3 years on similar position as IT Manager (administration, purchasing, infrastructure maintenance assembling servers, switches, etc). Cluster Labs administration is nice to have. Strong Technical and problem solving skills required. Demonstrated proficiency (+3 years) in one or more of the following areas: Servers assembling experience, Linux (Administration, database, kernel compilation), Sockets, Storage, Scripting (Bash, Phyton, Perl), Network (TCP/IP, VLAN, Switches installation/config, routers), Lab management tools (Nagios, Ganglia), SNMP, IPMI, CIM. Excellent written/verbal communication skills (in Spanish and English) with strong interpersonal influence to key stakeholders. Interaction across several areas within Intel.
