job description: software testing engineers, analyze product requirements and define, design and implement automated test cases for ensuring product quality. test cases are then executed, reporting results and found product defects. responsibilities: in this position, you will be fully responsible for implementing and conducting software testing activities for different applications, platforms and environments to meet company needs. you will be exposed to a variety of computer programming languages and applications, as well using a range of testing automation scripting languages, working in teams with other professionals, or alone. your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: automating test cases for handhelds/mobile devices software consumer products. analyzing results, reporting test cases results and product defects. handling feedback and error reports from internal and external stakeholders. constantly updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in house and/or external courses, reading products documentation and accessing new applications. responsible for problem solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the project. you should possess a computer science, computer engineering, electronic engineering, information technology degree (licenciatura) or equivalent with more than five years of relevant experience, or a master s degree with more than ten years of experience. additional qualifications include: mastery in at least one of the following languages: c and/or c++ experience developing or testing software for handhelds/mobile devices software development expertise in windows and linux operating systems, meego/android a plus. strong results orientation. experience working under capability maturity model integration (cmmi) and/or iso software quality regime would be an added advantage
