In this position, you will be researching, designing, testing, implementing and maintaining software systems on handheld devices to meet company needs. You will be using a variety of computer programming languages and applications, working and leading teams with other professionals, or alone. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Designing, coding and testing new software programs on handheld devices Creating technical specifications, designs, requirements and test plans Constantly updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications Responsible for problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the project You should possess a Telecommunications Engineer degree or equivalent with more than five years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with more than one year experience. Additional qualifications include: Mastery in at least one of the following handheld programming languages: C and/or C++ and/or C# Software development expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems Hands-on expertise in two or more in the following areas: Windows Presentation Foundation, Web Services, Application Servers, QT, Linux/Moblin related technologies , user interface development, computer security, and performance optimization Strong results orientation Project management skills An outstanding communicator (in Spanish and English) Capable of doing independent work Hands-on experience in Object Oriented Design, Object Oriented Development techniques, algorithm design and coding Experience working under Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and/or ISO software quality regime would be an added advantage
